Gentle Flow Yoga class at Devyani

Laura Thornton will be teaching Gentle Flow Yoga classes on Tuesdays at 12:00 noon at Devyani Dance Center. The classes are suitable for beginners or for those who wish to deepen their yoga practice. Laura has over 200 hours of training through Yogafit Systems, Inc and is registered through Yoga Alliance. She has training in Iyengar style yoga and Therapeutic yoga as well as having over 25 years experience practicing yoga. She taught for five years at St. Vincent's East. Basic Middle Eastern Percussion with Mark Freeman

Class will include introduction to Middle Eastern percussion instruments and basic, standard rhythms. Core frame and doumbek technique will beI a strong focus of the class. Class will include music theory as it pertains to the standard rhythms. It is highly suggested that you bring a Middle Eastern frame drum (tar/def) or doumbek (no djembes please). There will be a couple of extra frames for drop in students, however those taking the entire session will be expected to provide their own instrument. Click here for more information on Mark Freeman

Tuition is $35.00 a month (payable to Michelle), second child in a family is $10.00 per month and each child after that free.
