Amy Miller

Amy Miller began her studies in Polynesian dance in 1999 under the direction of Maria Benigno and is a former member of her troupe, the Malulani Dancers. Benigno gave her the Hawaiian name "Pualani," which means “lovely flower.

Amy teaches both the 'auana' (modern) style of hula that most Westerners have seen and the kahiko (ancient) style. She also hopes to offer classes in the near future in the Tahitian styles of otea and aparima.

In addition to her Polynesian dance training, Amy also has studied Latin and ballroom dance and is a professional Middle Eastern performer and instructor, performing under the name Amira al Sahara.
