Basics
Monday 6:30 - 7:30 pm New 8-week session starts April 28, 2008
Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 pm New 8-week session starts May 1, 2008
Basics level classes cover the mechanics and execution of the fundamental steps of American Tribal Style Bellydance. Classes are one hour and include stretching and warm up, one slow move and one fast move.
Appropriate dress includes a long loose skirt or loose pants, a short top or choli, and a scarf for your hips. Students with zils (finger cymbals) are encouraged to bring them to each class.

Basics Plus
Monday 7:30 - 8:30 pm, ongoing session
Basics plus classes will refine individual technique by drilling basic steps of American Tribal Style and their variations in creative combinations. Intro to partner and group dancing, as well as refining zil (finger cymbal) patterns.
Appropriate dress includes long full skirt, pants, or pantaloons, choli, short top or leotard, hip scarf, hair up. You will need your own zills.
One eight week session of Basics recommended before beginning Basics plus.
$120 unlimited monthly rate

Intermediate
Thursdays 7:30- 9 pm, ongoing session
Combinations, Cues and Transitions
Intermediate level class will cover refinement of basic steps, more complex moves, layering, cues and transitions and varying zil patterns.
Appropriate dress for intermediate level classes is a long skirt, pantaloons, choli or leotard and hip scarf or belt.
Students should be comfortable with the Basics and Basics Plus levels before entering this level. Intermediate level students are encouraged to continue to attend basics classes to ensure correct posture and execution of the basic moves.

Advanced
Tuesdays 6:30 - 8 pm, ongoing session, invitation only. NO CLASS Tues Dec. 25, Tues Jan. 1
Advanced level class will cover chorus work, solos, duets and group solos, drum solos, balancing, and performance preparation.
Appropriate dress includes long skirt, any color pantaloons, choli, and hip scarf or belt.
Attendance of this class is by permission only after completion of sufficient levels of basics and intermediate levels.
Advanced level students are encouraged to continue to attend Basics, Basics Plus and Intermediate level level classes for continued refinement of postures, execution of movements, and zil patterns.

Open Dance Sessions
Thursdays at 6:00 pm
We are bringing back the open dance class. This is not a formal class with instruction, but an opportunity to dance with your fellow students and teachers for 1/2 hour each week. There will be a troupe member or senior student at all sessions to help make music selections and facilitate the session. This class is included in the monthly unlimited class fee.
$5 drop in fee.

Full unlimited bellydance classes - $120.00 per month. Applies to all levels of ATS classes and Middle Eastern Percussion. Non-refundable and must be paid at the beginning of each month.
